    Working Principle

    Through a high-performance oxidation catalyst in the combustion furnace, the sample is completely combusted at high temperature into CO₂ and water vapor. Water vapor is removed by a condenser, and CO₂ is measured by a non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) detector to determine total carbon (TC). Inorganic carbon is decomposed by acid reagent into CO₂ and water; after condensation, CO₂ is measured by NDIR to determine total inorganic carbon (TIC). TOC = TC – TIC.

    Software Description

    The software meets GMP computerized system validation requirements:  
    Electronic signature: unique login with username/password, password length requirement, manual screen lock.  
    Access control: multilevel permissions; administrator assigns roles.  
    Data integrity: audit trail (non-disableable), all results saved and non-modifiable, all operations recorded, method-change logging, and data export/backup.

    Flexible experimental conditions: choice of catalysts (CeO, Pt, CuO) and adjustable temperature for versatile testing.  
    Advanced dehydration and injection: three-pass electronic condensation and automatic liquid injection with a precision electromagnetic metering pump for accuracy, stability, and continuous uniform injection. Non-manual injection reduces human contact with liquids.  
    Extended capability: heated inorganic carbon reactor eliminates peak tailing; optional solid sampler for soil, sludge, etc.  
    Real-time monitoring & data management: multiple temperature, pressure, and flow self-monitoring; a built-in needle printer; 2-year data storage with time-based query; and password protection.  
    Optional modules: online monitoring module; automatic sampler for unattended operation.  
    User interface: high-resolution 10.4-inch touch screen.
