    Working Principle

    The sample is completely combusted at high temperature in the combustion furnace using a high-performance oxidation catalyst, decomposing it into carbon dioxide and water vapor. The water vapor is removed after cooling in a condenser, and the CO₂ is measured by a non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) detector to determine total carbon (TC) content. Separately, the inorganic carbon in the sample is decomposed into CO₂ and water vapor by an acid reagent; after condensation, CO₂ is measured by NDIR to determine total inorganic carbon (TIC) content. Total organic carbon (TOC) is then calculated as TOC = TC – TIC.

    Password protection

    Maximum furnace temperature reaches 1300 ℃ (far above 680 ℃), greatly improving oxidation efficiency, meeting detection requirements for almost all substances, and enhancing accuracy and stability.

    Different catalysts (e.g., CeO, Pt, CuO) and adjustable temperatures can be selected according to sample detection requirements, providing versatile experimental conditions for flexible detection.

    Automatic liquid sample injection saves labor and time; the precision electromagnetic metering pump ensures accuracy, stability, and continuous uniform injection, avoiding fluctuations caused by individual operation differences. Moreover, the nonmanual injection method reduces human contact with liquids, improving safety.

    The inorganic carbon reactor is equipped with a heating device, which eliminates sample peak tailing and shortens the measurement time.
